The Suparimau Charter
Supporting the growth of grassroots football
In May 2019, the Football Association of Malaysia (“FAM”) launched the FAM SupaRimau Charter, an endorsement tool to support football academies in their roles of implementing grassroots programmes and activities.
FAM, in its Vision and Mission, recognises the value of grassroots football, hence the Charter is a tool for stimulating greater participation while at the same time improve the standard of the football academies in Malaysia.
FAM Suparimau Charter Benefits
Accreditation
Allows academies to use the Charter for promotional purposes, and encourages local businesses to support the grassroots movement
Liga Suparimau
Academies are eligible to participate in Liga Suparimau leagues that provide holistic competition and a clear player pathway
Compensation
Academies investing in the training of young players should be rewarded in case one of their players succeeds in turning pro
Privileges
